used it on ceramic out door nonslip tile, took the glaze off and made it slightly less slippery.

IT WORKED! I had new 6" glazed shower tile installed, and it was very slippery. I tried several things, including mats, stick-ons, and local hardware store products, but they were a hassle and temporary. Via Google, I found Johnny Grip and gave it a try ("nothing ventured, nothing gained"). The first application decreased the slip, so I applied a second application, which improved it even more. It did not hurt the look of the tile at all. It's perfect now, and I threw away the mats. Thank you Michael.

I was skeptical when I purchased the product. However, I was so pleasantly surprised. It works great! We put porcelain tile on our back porch and we were slipping and sliding every time it rained or snowed. The Johnny Grip applied easily and did not alter the appearance of the tile. Thank you for making such a great simple product that works!

used Johnny Grip on Pool Deck
this product didn't work at all. this is just one big rip off. I used it on my pool deck and patio tile and followed the instruction. Even tho the directions say to do a test area first to find out if I happen to have the very rare tile. That the product wont work on, I decided to treat the entire area instead. It didn't work so I reapplied the solution and left it on a little longer and still it didn't work. By this time I had used up too much of the solution to get a refund So I urge you not to buy this product , use a more reliable company!!! Their warranty policy is: If you use up the product we wont give you your money back. But if you do a test area and it does not work, you can send the product back for a full refund.

The product serves a purpose and works. The outcome depends upon the type of tile being cleaned. I would agree with others that in most cases the time needed will approach 45-60 minutes for good etching. I have had to do this application multiple times, BUT as the directions clearly state.......shower tile is tough and additional time "may be required"!
